Munimuni ni Juana

hear my thoughts, listen to my words --- know me a little, but never enough....

get well soon CORY

July 3, 2009

I am not fond of politics, although I try to be a good citizen and follow the rules. I do get affected, and sometimes angered, by talks about graft & corruption and power tripping of top government officials. I keep myself updated of the economic status of the country, or at least the dollar-peso exchange rate for that matter. hehe.

I had always liked Cory. Well, to put it better, I never disliked her. Maybe because she has a resemblance to the person closest to my heart.

O diba, pati glasses magkataste sila ng Mommy ko. haha.

She was president during my late elementary to high school years. So, I guess I was updated with what was going on with her government that time — required magbasa ng newspaper sa St. Scho everyday, at may reporting pa!

I did not like her then as I like her now. Don’t react, di ko sya crush, hehe. The impact on me just came after her term, when she continued to serve on her own without any political or personal gain in mind. I am saddened by reports of her weakening health. She was not a superb president, but she has a sincere heart for the country and the people. And we have very few influencial, powerful, sincere people brave enough to make a difference.

Get well soon, Cory.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. 2Tim 3:16-17
